“You Guys Really Are Special Friends”
When E first reached out, she had two concerns she wanted to be upfront about: her knees had been giving her trouble, and she wasn’t sure training was really for her. On top of that, life was busy — she wasn’t confident she could keep it up.
Those two worries are ones I hear all the time. Almost every new client walks in with some version of them.
We didn’t jump straight into intensity in the first session. Instead, we started with a conversation — her goals, her lifestyle, what her body could comfortably handle right now. From there, we built a plan around her: once a week, nothing extreme, just something that actually fit her life.
Over the following two months, sometimes with a gap here and there around her schedule, she kept showing up.
This week, after a session, she noticed something had shifted — her body simply felt different, more capable than before. She sent me this message afterward:
“I just wanted to say a special thanks for all of your support and encouragement. I felt so good after exercising yesterday and am moving so much freer today. You guys really are special friends. I appreciate you.”
Reading that message was a reminder of something I believe deeply: good training doesn’t need to start hard. It needs to start right — physically and mentally suited to where you actually are, so that it’s something you’re willing to keep doing.
Even once a week, consistency adds up. The body remembers every session, even the quiet ones.
If you’ve ever thought “is my body even suited to training?” or “will I actually be able to stick with this?” — you’re not alone, and those are exactly the kinds of questions worth talking through. Reach out, and let’s figure out the right way for you to start.
